Update February 3, 2019 for Alpaca iOS version 1.7.0 and newerSummaryWe want to make the best Ravelry app possible, and doing so requires the app to be able to access and temporarily store certain information from your Ravelry profile. We believe the best way to protect your data is to not store it, and we do our best to store the least amount of information possible to deliver the best app possible.Alpaca uses the Ravelry API to access your data from Ravelry. A free Ravelry account is required to use Alpaca, and is subject to the Ravelry Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. When you use Alpaca, the makers of Ravelry may be able to view your activity as if you were browsing the Ravelry website. To allow the app to work offline, the app caches some profile information locally on your device. When you sign out of or delete the app from your device, this data is removed. When you allow Alpaca to access your location, this information is stored locally on your device. When location access is not permitted, the app may approximate your location using the "location" field in your Ravelry profile. This data is only used to help find nearby shops to display in the app.We are not interested in identifying any individual user, but we are interested in knowing our audience as a whole. Alpaca uses Firebase Analytics to anonymously log screen views and language preferences to help us determine which areas of the app to focus on in future updates. If most of our users are using the app to add yarn to their yarn stash, we want to know so we can focus on improving the stash. If most of our users prefer French, we want to know so we can translate the app to French. If the app crashes, log data may be sent to Firebase Analytics to help us determine the reason for the crash. Depending on the cause of the crash, this data may include urls that include your username or approximate location. This data is only used to help fix issues in the app.Alpaca is an advertising supported application. This means that we offer the app to you at no cost, and in turn will sell advertising space in the app. When you purchase a product after opening a link to a product, the creators of Alpaca may receive a portion of the sale. When you interact with an advertisement, we create an anonymous log to help us determine the popularity of various advertisements. We do not provide any personal information to an advertiser when you interact with or view an advertisement. If you have any questions or suggestions about our Privacy Policy, do not hesitate to contact us at hello@atmosphereint.com.Privacy PolicyYour privacy is important, and so is being transparent about how we collect, use, and share information.
